The Florida Keys have captured the minds of people all over the world, and have become an international treasure. With extensive coral reefs and an ecological balance that is found in few other locations throughout the United States, they are as unique as the people who visit them. They are home to beautifully bright tropical fish, giant sea turtles, dolphins, and friendly people who are more than happy to welcome in tourists.

Key Largo

Key Largo

Florida’s Key Largo is both the largest of the Florida keys and the diving capital of the world. This beautiful location is perched off the southern coast of the United States, and is ideal for anyone who loves snorkeling, beaches, and fun in the sun. Best visited during the months of March through October, Key Largo stays fairly nice year round and can also be visited during the off-season. It is more than set up for tourists and welcomes people from all over the world. If you’re considering a holiday to the USA, make Key Largo high on your list of choices for these major benefits.

Diving Capital of the World

Key Largo is home to nearly 33 miles of coastline, most of which is dotted by coral reefs. This is just one part of what makes diving so fun in the area. With deep sea diving tours available, or simple snorkeling for newbies, it’s possible to start diving with nearly any level of experience. Of course, you’re always able to hop in the water at public beaches for a bit diving, too.

Resorts Galore

With the enormous Hilton Resort, Island Bay Resort, and the Marriott Key Largo Bay Beach Resort, there’s plenty of high-end places to stay when you come to Key Largo. For the more budget-conscious traveller, there’s also many three and four star hotels that will provide beach-front accommodations without the high price tag. It’s even possible to use sites like AirBnB to source apartments and more for longer trips.

Travel on ESTA Visas

Travelling to the United States is immensely easy now, thanks to the US Visa Waiver Scheme (ESTA). This scheme is designed to allow people from certain countries, including the UK, Australia, and Canada, easy entry into the country with just their ESTA visas. While you’ll still need to apply for an ESTA waiver, the process is very easy and doesn’t take long at all. Applications can be placed online, and should be finished at least two weeks prior to travel. You’ll also need to purchase a return ticket, and you’ll need to  have a valid passport. Once you have those items, you’re well on your way to enjoying the beauty of Key Largo!
